I was tasked with creating, branding and building a monthly subscription box.
I decided to embrace my love of movies
and create a movie themed box, based
on a different genre each month. For this month's genre, I went with horror films.

PROCESS
IDEATION
Creating moodboards for this project was the first challenge. There were so many visual directions I could have gone with for the overall branding - the world of film
is diverse! I wanted to create branding that would look good and make visual
sense, regardless of what film genre the subscription box focused on.
The first moodboard best captured what I wanted my branding to look like.
I liked the old school feel of the duotone posters, and how these designs only
use one or two pops of color to create something that stands out.
SKETCHES
I sketched ideas for the box branding and logo, as well as the packaging for all
of the items inside - movie posters, DVDs and popcorn. One of the items that was
the most fun to design was the packaging for the DVDs - I wanted to create
something more unique than a typical DVD case.
GRAPHIC ASSETS
I experimented with different potential iterations of logos and looks for my final packages. Designing movie posters for the subscription box was also a lot of fun!
